Sullivan County’s own Commissioner, Gary Stidham, has officially declared his candidacy for Tennessee’s House District 2. This announcement comes as the current officeholder, Rep. Bud Hulsey, plans to step down at the end of his term. On Thursday, Stidham, who is aligned with the Republican Party, confirmed he has acquired the necessary paperwork to launch his campaign for the position.
