ORLANDO, Fla. – The rain is much-needed in Central Florida, but it may come at an inconvenient time if you have plans to be outside Sunday.
A stray downpour or two is possible Saturday, when highs surge into the mid- to upper 80s, but the highest shot for rain and storms rolls around Sunday.
Rain chances climb to 70% Sunday. While it won’t be a complete all-day rain, there will be several waves of rain and storms through the bulk of the day.
Expect to dodge a few downpours Sunday morning.
Scattered rain and storm chances increase for the afternoon.
The highest chance for storms develops late in the afternoon and lingers well into the evening.
A few storms could be strong Sunday afternoon and evening.
The heaviest rain is expected to fall west of I-95, especially along and near I-4 toward I-75.
Rainfall amounts will likely be higher than depicted on the graphic above in areas where stronger storms develop.
Scattered rain and storms continue through Tuesday, albeit at a much lower chance.
