Hi there – StormTeam 3 Meteorologist Alysa Carsley here – let’s have a fabulous Wednesday!
We began the day with pleasant morning temperatures ranging from the 60s to low 70s. In the afternoon, high temperatures are expected to be in the mid to upper 80s, with a few areas south of I-16 possibly reaching around 90 degrees. A gradual increase in cloud cover is anticipated throughout the day. Tomorrow’s forecast mirrors today, with a chance of an afternoon and evening stray shower.

A low-pressure system is projected to move across the Gulf Coast states on Friday, extending into this Labor Day weekend. Rain showers will start approaching from the west during Friday, with scattered rain possible on both Saturday and Sunday. As we move into early next week, the system is expected to stall to our south, which should reduce the rain chances for Labor Day on Monday. Throughout the holiday weekend, periods of heavy rain may occur. High temperatures are predicted to stay below average, in the mid 80s.
