JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. — In a heated legal battle, State of Franklin Healthcare Associates (SOFHA) has filed a lawsuit against Summit Medical Group, a physician practice group based in Knoxville. However, Summit Medical Group has countered with a strong rebuttal, labeling the lawsuit as nothing more than a “smokescreen” to obscure SOFHA’s financial troubles, which they attribute to SOFHA’s own mismanagement and poor decision-making.
