Police arrest suspect in connection to deadly apartment shooting in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. () – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office took a suspect into custody on Thursday in relation to a fatal shooting that took place at the Landings at 237 on Wrightsboro Road on June 2.

On June 12, 2025, investigators from the RCSO apprehended Levaun Green Jr. in Thomson, Georgia. Following an interview, authorities arrested him, charging him with Murder and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.

RCSO received assistance from the Thomson Police Department in locating Green.

“This arrest illustrates our ongoing dedication to ensuring that individuals responsible for violent crimes in Richmond County are pursued and brought to justice,” stated Sheriff Eugene Brantley. “We appreciate the support from our counterparts in Thomson and commend our investigators for their prompt action.”
