(FOX40.COM) – Authorities from the Sacramento Police Department have taken into custody Anibal Hernandezsantana, a Sacramento resident, following an incident involving gunfire targeting the ABC10 news station premises at around 1:30 p.m. on Friday.

After spotting the suspect’s vehicle, officers traced it back to a home located on the 5400 block of Carlson Drive. Hernandezsantana now faces charges including assault with a deadly weapon, firing into a building that was occupied, and careless firearm discharge.

Police say the motive remains under investigation and thanked the FBI for providing resources in support of the investigation.

The police department is urging anyone who may have witnessed this incident to get in touch at 916-808-5471. Informants can choose to remain anonymous and might receive a reward up to $1,000.
