Over a dozen firefighters respond to field fire in Douglas Co.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — On Wednesday, firefighters were called to action in Douglas County to tackle a swiftly spreading field fire.

The Camargo Countryside Fire Protection District received the call about a fire near Murdock at approximately 3:15 p.m. Given the fire’s considerable size and swift progress, they sought assistance from both Newman and Villa Grove fire departments.
