TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A 22-year-old man has been arrested in a Tampa murder that occurred on Sept. 1, according to police.
Thursday, the Tampa Police Department said Jamarcus Harris was arrested in the murder of a 29-year-old man.
Officers said they responded to a reported shooting just before 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 1 in the area of Citrus Circle.
There, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. While they tried to give him first aid, the man ended up dying at the scene.

Detectives got tips that Harris was the suspect, having been in an argument with the victim before the shooting.
The department said that after gathering additional evidence that linked Harris to the crime scene, officers took Harris into custody.
“Thanks to the remarkable dedication of our investigators, this suspect will face consequences for his actions,” stated Chief Lee Bercaw. “No disagreement, argument, or differing viewpoint justifies the taking of a life, and individuals who resort to using a firearm to settle conflicts will be brought to justice.”
Harris was charged with murder and felon in possession of a firearm.
