Taylorville Police seeking info on ATM theft suspects

In Taylorville, Illinois, local authorities are delving into an incident involving an ATM break-in that occurred in the early hours of Monday morning. The Taylorville Police Department is actively investigating after two individuals were caught in the act at Peoples Bank & Trust.

On October 13, a vigilant officer on routine patrol noticed a suspicious vehicle parked at the bank’s ATM. Upon closer inspection, the officer discovered two suspects attempting to breach the machine. However, the presence of the police prompted the pair to abandon their mission, fleeing the scene on foot towards the nearby Steak n’ Shake restaurant.
