WRENS, Ga. () – A 3rd suspect was taken into custody in connection with the July 5, 2024, shooting death of 16-year-old Sadiq Brown of Wrens, GA.
On the morning of May 29th, members of the U.S. Marshals Joint Task Force apprehended 18-year-old Kieran Darnell Walters in Gwinnett County.
Walters was wanted for murder in connection with the shooting, which occurred in the parking lot of 2622 Peach Orchard Road.
Deondray Donovan was taken into custody on January 23, 2025, while Malcolm Bryant was apprehended on August 20, 2024. Both individuals face charges of murder and possession of a firearm or knife during a crime.


On July 5, 2024, around 10:55 p.m., the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from a local hospital. A male victim, transported by vehicle, had arrived with at least one gunshot wound. Identified as Sadiq Brown, he was declared deceased at 11:34 p.m. at Piedmont Hospital.
Sheriff Brantley commended the efforts and collaboration that led to the arrests, stating, “The apprehension of both suspects in this unfortunate incident highlights our dedication to securing justice for victims and their loved ones. I am proud of our investigators and thankful for the U.S. Marshals Service’s collaboration in capturing these dangerous fugitives.”
