LOUISVILLE, KY (WCIA) — Tanner Thomas has been a Louisville baseball commit since 2021.

He’s preparing for his first season with the Cardinals. As a freshman, his first focus is contributing on the bump in any way he can.

“They typically provide freshman pitchers with plenty of chances throughout the season since there are numerous games,” Thomas remarked. “I anticipate being given the chance to pitch; I just need to seize it.”

Along his time in high school, he played four different sports: baseball, basketball, track, and two years of football.

The chance to move up to the next level allows him to specialize in baseball.

“I am genuinely thrilled to concentrate solely on baseball for the first time and not juggle other sports,” Thomas expressed.

Thomas hopes to eventually play in the outfield as well.

On the bump, he throws a fastball, curveball, changeup, and slider, throwing as hard as 93 mph.
