The Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) has apprehended three individuals in connection to a carjacking reported earlier. Upon their arrival, officers discovered one person suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.

The carjacking incident occurred on Thursday night at a convenience store located on Newcastle Street. Members of the Glynn County Fire Department (GCFD) provided medical assistance to the injured party, who was subsequently transported to a hospital. Fortunately, the injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Saturday detectives arrested three Brunswick residents in connection to the incident:

Seventeen-year-old Alonzo Triplett III faces charges that include hijacking a motor vehicle, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, in addition to possession of a handgun by someone under the age of 18.

Another 17-year-old, Jimirol White Jr., is charged with being a party to motor vehicle hijacking and aggravated assault, making false statements and writings, possessing stolen property (firearm), and possessing a handgun while being underage. At his arrest, White was in possession of a handgun identified as stolen from a separate entering auto incident.

A 16-year-old male is charged with being a party to motor vehicle hijacking, aggravated assault, and making false statements and writings.

The suspects were brought to GCPD headquarters for questioning. Both Triplett and White were transferred to the Glynn County Detention Center, while the juvenile suspect was taken to a youth detention facility.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information can call the GCPD at (912) 554-3645 or Silent Witness at (912) 264-1333.
