Three Policemen Wounded in Utah Gunfire Incident

TREMONTON, Utah (ABC4) Three police officers in Utah were injured in a shooting incident late Sunday night, according to local authorities.

Detective Crystal Beck with the Brigham City Police Department confirmed that Tremonton-Garland Police officers responded to a disturbance call in Tremonton, Utah. When officers arrived, they immediately began taking fire, authorities said.

Officers from various agencies in Box Elder and Weber counties responded to the scene. Beck said three officers were injured and taken to the hospital, and their conditions were unknown as of Monday morning.

The suspect in the shooting has not been identified and is being held in the Box Elder County Jail.

Beck said there is no current threat to the public, but residents in the area were advised to remain sheltering in place, and the public was asked to stay clear of the area.
