NEW YORK (WPIX) — A popular brand of rice has been recalled nationwide after it was reported that there could be small stones in the product.

The recall affects a specific set of batches of Ben’s Original Long Grain White, Whole Grain Brown, and Long Grain & Wild Ready Rice varieties. These batches were available at various retailers, including Target, HEB, and Amazon.

The stones originate from the rice farm, and if consumed, could pose a risk of oral or digestive tract injury, the recall states.

“This issue is isolated to these particular batches — no other Ben’s Original™ items are impacted,” the company stated in their recall notification. “Aligned with our commitment to transparency and integrity, we are removing the affected products from involved stores and notifying customers.”

The batch codes and best by dates below can be found on the bottom seal of the back of the package.
