In a recent announcement, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) revealed plans for rolling roadblocks on Interstate 81 in Abingdon, scheduled for later this evening. This temporary traffic measure is set to occur near Exit 17 as Appalachian Power (AEP) undertakes necessary repairs on power lines in the area. To ensure a smooth operation and maintain safety, the Virginia State Police will be on hand to manage the flow of traffic.
