In Ocala, Florida, a serious traffic incident on Thursday afternoon resulted in seven individuals being hospitalized, according to a statement from Ocala Fire Rescue.

The accident occurred shortly after 4 p.m. at the crossroads of Northwest Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Northwest 22nd Street, the fire department reported in their release.

The crash involved two vehicles: an Infiniti SUV and a Buick SUV. Emergency responders confirmed that among the injured were three adults and four children, all of whom were taken to the hospital for medical attention.

Particularly concerning was the condition of one of the children, who was categorized as a trauma alert and required further evaluation to assess potential injuries related to the crash’s impact, as highlighted by the fire officials.

As of now, no further details have been issued regarding the incident.
