KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Authorities are currently investigating a tragic incident involving two vehicles that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist in Osceola County on Saturday afternoon.
According to initial reports from the crash scene, the collision took place at the intersection of US-192 and Parkway Blvd in Kissimmee at approximately 4:48 p.m.
The accident involved a motorcycle and a Lexus RX, though details surrounding the events leading up to the crash remain under investigation by troopers.
The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that the motorcyclist succumbed to their injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
The SUV’s driver and passenger were unharmed and stayed at the location following the incident.
In response to the accident, authorities have implemented a roadblock affecting the westbound lanes of US-192.
The crash remains under investigation.
The crash marks the third fatal motorcycle crash in Central Florida on Saturday. A crash in Orange County claimed the life of a 20-year-old motorcyclist around 7 a.m. And around noon, a crash in Volusia County killed a 58-year-old motorcyclist.
