At least 15 individuals have lost their lives and more than a dozen have sustained injuries following the derailment of a widely-used streetcar in Lisbon. This unfortunate incident involved the Elevador de Gloria funicular, which operates between the Baixa and Bairro Alto districts in Lisbon. An investigation into the crash has been initiated by Portuguese authorities, and local leaders have declared a three-day period of mourning.
