Trump says Israel has agreed to ceasefire conditions in Gaza; no response from Hamas yet

President Donald Trump said Tuesday that Israel has “agreed to the necessary conditions” to finalize a cease-fire deal in the Israel-Hamas war.

“My Representatives had a productive meeting with the Israelis today on Gaza. Israel has consented to the required terms to complete the 60 Day CEASEFIRE, during which we will collaborate with all involved parties to halt the War,” Trump noted on Truth Social.

“The Qataris and Egyptians, who have put in significant effort to assist in achieving Peace, will present this conclusive proposal,” he further stated. “I wish, for the welfare of the Middle East, that Hamas accepts this Deal, as it will not enhance — IT WILL ONLY DETERIORATE.”

The Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., did not immediately respond to a request for comment, and Hamas has yet to weigh in on Trump’s announcement.

The president’s post comes ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the White House, scheduled for Monday.
