() A senior White House official tells President Donald Trump is not “dissatisfied” with Attorney General Pam Bondi or Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and has “full confidence” in all of his Cabinet.
Bondi has drawn criticism from far-right influencers and conservative internet personalities over the Justice Department’s abrupt refusal to release additional documents from the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking investigation.
Trump’s move Monday to send more weapons to Ukraine has also drawn skepticism from the MAGA base. His comments appeared to be an abrupt change in posture after the Pentagon announced last week that it would hold back delivering to Ukraine some air defense missiles, precision-guided artillery and other weapons.
The senior White House official said Trump approved an assessment on aid to “all” countries, including Ukraine. While that review was taking place, the Pentagon took it upon itself to hit pause on the aid to Ukraine. However, the source said, “Trump does not view Hegseth as working ‘unilaterally’ in any way.”
The source did say Trump is frustrated by the war and is “equally” frustrated by Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin and finds both “impossible” to deal with.
