() President Donald Trump is expected to make an announcement from the Oval Office on Friday, according to the White House’s public schedule.

The news arrives amidst numerous national stories. The Department of Justice is preparing to release records about the Jeffrey Epstein investigation to Congress beginning on Friday, and the Federal Reserve Chair hinted at a potential interest rate cut in the near future.
This announcement from the Oval Office also comes after the FBI conducted a raid on the D.C.-area residence of John Bolton, who served as a national security adviser during Trump’s initial administration.
The raid concerns classified documents, according to two sources familiar with the situation. Agents were seen entering the Bethesda, Maryland home with boxes, and were also conducting a search of Bolton’s office in Washington, D.C., on Friday morning.
Bolton was not detained and does not face charges, according to the Associated Press. All FBI searches require court-authorized search warrants.
Trump claimed he was not aware of the raid beforehand, telling reporters: “I tell Pam (Bondi) and I tell the group. I don’t want to know about it. You have to do what you have to do. I don’t want to know about it.”
He added that he expects to be briefed by Department of Justice officials later in the day.
