Tusculum University in Greeneville, Tennessee, launched their homecoming celebrations with the unveiling of a newly dedicated sign on the Highway 107 bridge, paying tribute to two notable alumni.
The sign honors Bill and Jane Pilloni, who graduated from Tusculum in 1960 and 1959, respectively. In a heartfelt gathering, many alumni came together to celebrate and remember the Pillonis, demonstrating their enduring connection to the university.
“Throughout their lives, Bill and Jane Pilloni were ardent supporters of Tusculum University,” remarked President Scott Hummel. “They generously provided the lead donation for the sign, making this dedication a fitting tribute to their unwavering support.”
President Hummel also noted that the bridge, now adorned in a vibrant orange hue, is set to become a symbolic landmark in Greeneville.
Craig Pilloni, their son, played a crucial role by raising significant funds for the sign in honor of his parents. The university is currently seeking additional contributions to ensure the sign’s upkeep. Those wishing to contribute can do so through this link.
