ABINGDON, Va. (WJHL) — A press release from the Washington County, Virginia, Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) revealed that two men from Abingdon were taken into custody as part of an active narcotics investigation.
Law enforcement, including the WCSO’s Special Response Team (SRT), the Holston River Regional Drug Task Force, and the Virginia State Police, executed a search warrant at a property on the 18000 block of Black Hollow Road, resulting in the arrest of two people at the scene.
Kenneth Alan Johnson, 49, was charged with the following, according to the WCSO:
- Possession with the Intent to Distribute/Sell Methamphetamine (2nd Offense)
- Conspiracy to Distribute a Schedule 1 or 2 Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)
Johnson is being held at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail without bond.
Brandon Shane Nickels, 40, was charged with the following, according to the WCSO:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 or 2 Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)
Nickels is being held at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail, and his bond was set at $1,000.
