2 CSRA men charged with possession of Child Pornography after 205 offenders arrested in nationwide crackdown

GEORGIA () – A man from Waynesboro and another from Augusta have been indicted on federal charges after a major operation rescued 115 children and led to the arrest of 205 individuals involved in child sexual abuse across the country.

As per the Department of Justice, Michael Alexander James, 44, from Waynesboro, along with Martin Lindner, 52, from Augusta, have been charged with one count of Possession of Child Pornography, as stated in newly revealed federal indictments.

The Department of Justice disclosed on Monday the outcomes of Operation Restore Justice, an organized effort to locate, monitor, and detain child sex offenders.

Authorities state that this coordinated effort was executed over the course of five days by all 55 FBI field offices, the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section in the Department’s Criminal Division, and United States Attorney’s Offices around the country. 

The Department is urging the public to remain vigilant and report suspected exploitation of a child through the FBI’s tipline at 1-800-CALL-FBI (225-5324), tips.fbi.gov, or by calling your local FBI field office.
