Defense Department strikes alleged narco boat in the Pacific


On Wednesday, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth revealed that the department executed a “lethal kinetic strike” targeting a vessel in the Eastern Pacific, which was suspected of carrying drugs intended for the United States.

In a post on X, Hegseth shared drone footage of the strike, stating that the boat was controlled by a “designated terrorist organization” involved in drug trafficking. The strike took place on Tuesday, according to his announcement.

“The vessel had two narco-terrorists on board when the strike was executed in international waters. Both were killed, and there were no casualties among U.S. forces,” Hegseth explained.
