Undercover investigation arrests 2, seizes $25,000

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. () — Authorities have apprehended two men, accusing them of cocaine trafficking within Beaufort County.

In a collaborative effort between the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Xavier Alexander Rosa-Cabrera, aged 41, and Rey-Agustin Zamora-Perez, 38, were taken into custody.

Officials noted that Zamora-Perez is an undocumented immigrant originally from Mexico.

The arrests were the culmination of an extensive investigation, during which undercover agents engaged with the suspects, ultimately making a covert cocaine purchase. The operation led to the execution of search warrants at their Hilton Head Island residence.

Law enforcement officials confiscated roughly four kilograms of cocaine and $25,000 in cash from the property. Both individuals face charges related to the sale and distribution of cocaine, along with trafficking offenses.
