Danville schools dismiss early after getting 'anonymous threat'


In Danville, Illinois, all schools within the Danville School District were placed on a soft lockdown Monday morning following an “anonymous threat,” resulting in students being sent home early.

Superintendent John Hart shared on Facebook that due to the unspecified nature of the threat, which targeted an “unidentified school building,” the decision was made to dismiss all students starting at 8:45 a.m.
