In an unfolding situation in Flagler County, Florida, authorities have issued a Silver Alert for a 72-year-old resident of Palm Coast who has gone missing. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) shared details about the disappearance on Wednesday, urging the public to assist in locating the man.
The individual in question is Allyn Schmidt, who was last observed on Monday in the vicinity of the 50th block of Wood Haven Drive. At the time of his disappearance, Schmidt was dressed in a distinctive yellow jacket from the Arizona brand, paired with blue jeans. Notably, he has a scar on the right side of his face and is without teeth, though he may be seen wearing glasses.
Authorities have also provided details about Schmidt’s likely mode of transportation. He could be driving a 2020 maroon Ford Edge, bearing the Florida license plate “PCTN36.” A unique identifier for the vehicle could be rubber ducks visible on the dashboard.
The FDLE has issued a word of caution, advising anyone who spots Schmidt or his vehicle not to approach but to immediately contact local law enforcement. Those with any information on Schmidt’s whereabouts are encouraged to reach out to the FDLE or the sheriff’s office by dialing (386) 313-4911, or in urgent scenarios, call 911.
“The vehicle may have rubber ducks in the dashboard,” the release reads. “If located, DO NOT APPROACH. Contact law enforcement.”
Anyone with information on Schmidt’s whereabouts is urged to contact the FDLE or sheriff’s office at (386) 313-4911, or 911.
