WASHINGTON – In an unprecedented move, Melania Trump composed a message advocating for peace in Ukraine, which was personally delivered by President Donald Trump to Russian President Vladimir Putin during their Alaska meeting on Friday.

While the letter did not explicitly mention Ukraine, invaded by Putin’s forces in 2022, it urged him to consider the plight of children and highlighted “an innocence which transcends geography, government, and ideology.” The American first lady did not delve into the specifics of the conflict but expressed that Putin had the power to bring back the “melodic laughter” of children affected by the turmoil.

“By protecting these children’s innocence, you do more than serve Russia — you serve humanity,” she penned on White House stationery.

Fox News Digital was the first to obtain a copy of the letter, later shared on social media by supporters of the U.S. president, including the likes of Attorney General Pam Bondi.

The first lady said that Putin could help these children with the stroke of a pen.

The invasion has seen Russian forces relocating Ukrainian children to Russia, intending for them to be brought up as Russians. The Associated Press reported these abductions in 2022, following which the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Putin on war crimes charges, holding him accountable for these child abductions.
