JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) has disclosed the outcomes of its intensified traffic enforcement efforts over the New Year’s holiday weekend. According to a statement released by the WCSO on Tuesday, deputies conducted a total of 251 traffic stops and made 49 arrests during this period. This increased enforcement was made possible by additional deputies on patrol, funded through a grant from the Tennessee Highway Safety Office.
