A man was apprehended in the South Central area of Jonesborough after allegedly setting a home’s front yard ablaze and firing a gun at the property, which damaged both the residence and a vehicle, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO).
Per a news announcement from WCSO, Danny Lee Greene, 40, was located, arrested, and charged on July 31 with reckless endangerment, possessing prohibited weapons, and attempted aggravated arson for the events occurring on July 25.
The report mentioned that officers arrived at a residence in the 100 block of Hillrise Drive on July 25. The victims reported that Greene supposedly unleashed five shots at their home, striking both a car and the house itself.
“Additionally, a wine bottle containing gasoline was left on their front step,” the release states.
The victims also reported to police that Greene had started a fire in their yard.
