Women Who Lead builds honors women, builds connection

SAVANNAH, Ga. () — The Women Who Lead Power Con gathered women from across the region for an event designed to foster connections and networking, all with the aim of improving the world.

This gathering celebrated women who have achieved leadership success in various fields such as medicine, law, and entertainment. Attendees had the opportunity to hear from speakers, network with peers, and explore ways to inspire and uplift others within their communities.

Prominent community leaders facilitated sessions, including Denise Watts, Superintendent of the Savannah Chatham County Public School System. She discussed the transformative impact when women support each other.

“Before we conclude today, I encourage you to identify one woman you can inspire, mentor, or uplift in the months ahead. When women support one another, entire communities can thrive,” she stated.

Paula Kreissler, a retired executive from Healthy Savannah with 17 years of experience, received the Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing her contributions.

The event also celebrated women who empower, engage, and elevate others. One notable recognition was for ‘s own Tina Tyus-Shaw, who was inducted into the Trailblazing Women’s Hall of Fame.
