WSAV mourns loss of former News Director Kevin Brennan

SAVANNAH, Ga. () – Although you might not have seen his face on television, News Director Kevin Brennan played an integral role in every story broadcasted on News 3 for over two decades. Today, we at mourn his passing.

Brennan launched his media career on the radio in the 1970s. He later transitioned into television journalism, becoming a crucial figure in cities such as New Orleans, Jacksonville, and Tampa. However, Kevin left his most significant impact when he settled at .

As the leader managing day-to-day operations, he was pivotal in the newsroom securing numerous Murrow, Emmy, AP, and even a Peabody Award under his leadership.

It was Kevin’s knowledge and his lovable personality that made him a local legend and a respected leader in the television industry.

He was a man who loved his family even more than a lead story. Everyone at is sending our condolences to them during this sad time and we are remembering Kevin Brennan, our former boss and our friend.
