BULLS GAP, Tenn. (WJHL) — Shoppers using cash at Yoders Country Market in Bulls Gap may find their change slightly adjusted, as the Federal Reserve has opted to phase out pennies, the market revealed on Tuesday.

Through a social media post, Yoders conveyed that it will now round cash transactions to the nearest nickel due to the penny’s discontinuation. The market noted that banks in the area are already experiencing a shortage of the one-cent coin.

For those preferring to use credit or debit cards, Yoders assured that the exact price will still apply. The market expressed apologies for any inconvenience caused in their announcement.
