Zendaya is enjoying her last few days of wearing something blue.
As she tours the world to promote her latest film, “The Drama,” alongside co-star Robert Pattinson, Zendaya has cleverly embraced the classic adage of wearing something old, something new, and something borrowed.
This wardrobe choice aligns perfectly with the film’s wedding theme. “The Drama,” which hits theaters this Friday, explores the story of a Boston couple whose wedding plans spiral into chaos after a shocking revelation.
Interestingly, Zendaya’s fashion choices also mirror rumors in her personal life. Unconfirmed reports suggest she may already be married to Tom Holland, fueled by noticeable rings she’s been seen sporting.
Focusing back on her fashion journey: on March 17 in Los Angeles, Zendaya chose something old. She donned an off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood Bridal gown, a striking white piece she initially wore to the 2015 Oscars. Her stylist, Law Roach, delighted fans by dubbing the outfit “Our Something Old” on Instagram.
For the film’s Paris premiere on March 24, Zendaya opted for something new. She made a statement in a custom Louis Vuitton gown, complete with a dramatic black bow and a flowing train that added an extra flair to her ensemble.
Two days later for the Italian premiere in Rome, Zendaya sported a borrowed black Armani Privé dress with a plunging neckline framed with stones, earlier worn by Cate Blanchett at the Venice Film Festival. (“somethingborrowed,” Roach posted.)
As for something blue — the color may have been subtly referenced by her flowing, multi-hued floral Alexander McQueen dress worn on Jimmy Kimmel’s show March 16. But that was a little TOO subtle.
Which is why many expect the star to soon be singing the blues.
