NEW YORK – In a move that was both expected yet no less dazzling, Zendaya graced the New York premiere of “The Drama” in a stunning blue ensemble, fulfilling the last piece of her sartorial puzzle.
Over the past few weeks, the actress has embraced a clever bridal theme, donning outfits that were “something old,” “something new,” and “something borrowed.” Her appearance on Thursday was the grand finale, featuring a strapless Schiaparelli Haute Couture ball gown complemented by sapphire earrings. This fashion choice coincided with the premiere of her latest film, where she stars alongside Robert Pattinson. The movie has generated significant buzz due to its controversial storyline, which follows a couple whose wedding plans unravel after a shocking discovery.
Zendaya’s fashion statements have also fueled rumors about her personal life. Speculation abounds that she might already be married to partner Tom Holland, spurred by her recent choice of rings. However, these whispers remain unconfirmed.
The actress worked closely with her stylist, Law Roach, to save the most breathtaking ensemble for the premiere. Schiaparelli shared on Instagram that the gown, which required an astounding 8,000 hours to create, was crafted from blue and black raw silk “feathers” using satin stitch embroidery, showcasing an intricate array of 27 shades of blue.
Zendaya kicked off her bridal-themed journey on March 17 in Los Angeles, where she revisited a piece of fashion history by wearing a white, off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood Bridal gown — the same dress she had once worn to the 2015 Oscars.
“Something old” came in Los Angeles on March 17, where Zendaya wore the same white, off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood Bridal gown that she’d worn to the 2015 Oscars.
She transitioned to “something new” at the March 24 Paris premiere — a white custom Louis Vuitton gown with a huge black bow and train.
“Something borrowed” came two days later in Rome, a black Armani Privé dress previously worn by Cate Blanchett, with a plunging neckline framed with stones.
Finally on Thursday, Zendaya completed the circle. “SomethingBlue,” posted Roach.
In case nobody had noticed.
