Manchester United are willing to listen to offers for three high-profile stars in January, as Erik ten Hag looks to refine and rebuild his squad amid reports he’s lost half the dressing room at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils banned a string of journalists from Ten Hag’s press conference on Tuesday ahead of United’s 2-1 triumph over Chelsea after it was alleged that the Dutchman had lost the respect of half his dressing room.
Ten Hag’s trusted first team repaid the manager with a winning performance against the Blues at Old Trafford on Wednesday, as Scott McTominay netted twice to fire United into sixth in the Premier League.
The first high-profile star, perhaps unsurprisingly, is Manchester United exile Jadon Sancho, who has been ostracised from the first team group after a tempestuous fallout with Ten Hag.

The club are willing to listen to offers for Manchester United’s £73million exile Jadon Sancho
The former Borussia Dortmund star, who joined the Red Devils for £73million in 2021, hit out at Ten Hag on social media after the manager claimed he was not working hard enough in training, and tensions have since reached boiling point following the winger’s refusal to apologise for dealing with matters publicly.
United are also willing to listen to offers for veteran French defender Raphael Varane, who has also reportedly fallen out with Ten Hag after falling down the pecking order behind Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans.
Although Ten Hag has refused to accept a falling out between the pair, it is understood Varane was unhappy with the Dutchman’s decision to play Evans over him in the Manchester derby against champions City and that tension has since spiralled from there.
Finally, the future of Casemiro – who enjoyed a superb first season at Manchester United last campaign and is currently out until Christmas with a hamstring injury – is set to be discussed ahead of January.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s takeover of football operations at Manchester United is set to take place imminently, and the British billionaire is eager to build Ten Hag’s squad around a young core, paving way for a potential Casemiro exit.
United paid Real Madrid a combined £112m for Casemiro and Varane, even though the pair were 30 and 28 respectively when they moved to Old Trafford on lucrative, long-term contracts.
The Red Devils will reportedly only look to strengthen the squad in terms of recruitment once key players are sold, and it is understood the club are prepared to sell even more stars so long as the transfer fees are deemed suitable.
For now, Ten Hag is focusing on football with a quick turnaround following the victory over Chelsea, with United set to face off against Bournemouth at home on Saturday.
