Meghan Markle doesn’t seem fazed by the buzz that her former close friend, Jessica Mulroney, might have snagged a ‘more than $1 million’ deal to spill the beans in a revealing book. On Wednesday, the Duchess of Sussex went about her usual activities.

At 44, Prince Harry’s spouse posted on her brand’s Instagram, showcasing a peek into her ‘sweetest moments’ while posing with her two dogs in what appears to be her Montecito estate.

Adorned in a sophisticated yellow maxi dress, complete with flowing sleeves and a fitted waist, Meghan was snapped looking off-camera towards two palm trees she once said symbolized her and the Duke’s romantic journey.

The caption of the As Ever post read: ‘Crisp air, blue skies, and the sweetest moments.’

During a 2022 interview with The Cut, where she gave the publication a rare look inside her residence, Meghan explained the property’s appeal, partly due to the unique Dr. Seussian palm trees prominently positioned on the lawn.

‘When we first toured the house, those two palm trees immediately stood out to my husband,’ she recounted. ‘Notice how they’re joined at the base? He said, “My love, this is us.”‘

She also shared that their son, who was three at the time, spoke to the trees as if they were his parents, saying: ‘Every day, Archie walks by and greets them with, “Hi, Momma. Hi, Papa.”‘ The newest promotional content from As Ever seems to feature these significant palm trees mentioned by Meghan.

Meghan’s post comes after it was revealed her former best friend Ms Mulroney has reportedly been offered an advance of more than $1million to publish an account of their relationship.

The Duchess once said that ‘the room stops’ whenever her friend Ms Mulroney ‘shows up’ but reportedly cut off contact when the Canadian stylist became embroiled in an online race row related to Black Lives Matter.

Ms Mulroney has since told the Daily Mail that she would ‘never’ spill the beans on what happened between them amid reports she was considering a memoir.

She declined to comment further but one source has suggested that she could still be ‘biding her time’ because she blames the Duchess of Sussex for her ‘toxic’ public profile.

‘Meghan still has a lot of eyes and ears in Canada’, one insider with links to Jessica’s camp said. ‘I suspect Jessica is not sure what to do [with what she knows]. Meghan is still pretty powerful and they have a lot of people in common.

‘She is probably biding her time. She lost her career but to come after Meghan could be perceived as being petty and bitter and could potentially alienate her even more’.

Ms Mulroney and Meghan were inseparable for several years after meeting in Toronto when the now-duchess was filming suits.

She helped guard the secret that Meghan was secretly dating a prince and she was the first friend the mother-of-two called from the grounds of Kensington Palace when Harry proposed.

Her twin sons John and Brian, then seven, even had the honour of carrying Meghan’s train of her dress down the aisle at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, while her daughter Ivy, then two, was a bridesmaid at the royal wedding alongside Princess Charlotte.

But seven years on Jessica has been cut adrift by her former best friend – and was effectively cancelled – after giving her views on Black Lives Matter.

‘She was upset their friendship ended. Jessica knows where the bodies are buried. Meghan will be worried’, a insider told the Daily Mail last week.

Despite her clear denial, a source close to her insisted that even if she refuses to speak about it publicly, Jessica does have an axe to grind with the Duchess of Sussex.

Afterwards TV work dried up and she even stepped down from the charity she set up to support homeless women across Canada, the US and the UK, a decision that would have caused her huge grief. Meghan, it is said, cut off contact with her at the same time.
