Naya Rivera’s ex Ryan Dorsey was seen joining her family at Lake Piru as the search for her continues.
The former Glee star, 33, is presumed dead after she failed to return to a rented pontoon boat on Lake Piru, California, following a swim with four-year-old son Josey.
Naya shares son Josey with ex Ryan, who she was married to for four years before splitting in 2018, and he was seen joining her relatives – her mother, father and brother – as the search operation for the actress continues.
Ryan was seen hugging Naya’s family members in the emotional scenes.
Naya was seen heading to the rented boat on Wednesday in CCTV footage of her arriving to the dock in her black Mercedes G Wagon.
A search operation was launched on Wednesday, but was suspended overnight due to poor visibility. It resumed on Thursday, but police confirmed that it is now a search and recovery operation, with Naya presumed dead.
New reports reveal that police are now not ruling out Naya hitting her head before drowning.
Ventura County Sheriff’s Office senior deputy Miguel Gonzalez stated: ‘Unfortunately, until the body is recovered we definitely won’t know what actually happened with her, whether it be something medically or if she did have any trauma prior to going down beneath the water.
‘And until we recover the body we probably won’t find the answers to those questions.’
Naya’s Glee co-stars, including Lauren Potter and Chord Overstreet, have been sharing messages with fans and praying for the star to be found alive.
She tweeted the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, stating: ‘My name is Heather Morris, I’m Nayas close friend and co-worker, and I’m trying to conduct an on foot search and rescue mission along with a small group of friends at Lake Piru.
‘I understand your team is doing EVERYTHING in their power, but we are feeling helpless, powerless and want to help in any way.
‘I have left a message with the department of Rescue and Air today, and I will call again tomorrow. Thank you.’
Naya had starred on Glee as Santana Lopez from 2009 until 2015.
