Renowned British comedian Russell Brand has entered a plea of not guilty to fresh allegations of rape and sexual assault.

Brand, who was already embroiled in legal troubles with similar accusations from four different women, denied the recent charges during a hearing at Southwark Crown Court. According to the Crown Prosecution Service, these alleged incidents occurred in 2009.

Back in April, Brand, now 50, faced charges that included two counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault, and one count of indecent assault.

Prosecutors detailed that these alleged offences, involving four women, spanned from 1999 to 2005. The incidents reportedly took place in the coastal town of Bournemouth and in various locations across London.

Earlier in the year, Brand had already pleaded not guilty to these charges during a court appearance in London.

A trial, which is expected to unfold over four to five weeks, has been scheduled for June.

The Get Him To The Greek actor, known for risqué stand-up routines, battles with drugs and alcohol, has dropped out of mainstream media in recent years.

He built a large following online with videos mixing wellness and conspiracy theories, as well as discussing his religious devotion.
