A breath-taking $14 million Brooklyn home features a painting on the wall giving a subtle clue to its A-List owner.

The artwork displayed above a magnificent mantled fireplace showcases a stage scene, created by Eric Roux-Fontaine, and is currently owned by comedian and actress Amy Schumer.

Schumer’s four-story townhouse in Brooklyn Heights is on the market for a substantial sum, as she recently revealed her family’s plans to relocate back to Manhattan.

Boasting five bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and one half bathroom, this 5,568-square-foot residence, built in 1829, exemplifies classic Federal-style architecture. It made an appearance in the iconic 1987 movie Moonstruck, featuring Cher and Nicholas Cage.

Upon entering the home through French doors, two grand entertaining rooms feature original dark marble-mantled fireplaces and gorgeous crown moldings as well as hand-carved trim.

The rooms are bathed in natural light from the 30 windows throughout the property.

Wood beams line the kitchen ceiling, complimenting the blue and wood furnishings, marble-topped island and custom 3-oven LaCanche range.

The kitchen’s vintage wood cabinets and wide-planked floorboards keep the home’s history alive alongside the updated appliances and furnishings.

A wood-paneled library and bedroom sits with a fireplace and custom cabinetry facing the back garden.

Surrounded by wrought iron fencing lies a wooden deck area overlooking a private garden space.

A stunning rustic style marble bathtub sits next to a mantled fireplace in the main green penny-tiled bathroom, with vintage print wallpaper.

The basement of the home features a laundry room and a gym as well as a custom-built wine cellar.

Schumer and her husband, chef Chris Fischer, bought the home in 2022 for $12.25million, according to property records.

‘We loved what we moved into,’ Schumer told Realtor.com. ‘But we’ve definitely made it our own.’

She told the outlet they consulted architect Michael Van Valkenburgh to reimagine the backyard, and swapped the brick patio for turf, Realtor.com reported.

‘Not that it’s a ton [of space], you know, it is Brooklyn,’ Schumer said.

They said they felt that the home was too big for the pair and their son, Gene.

‘This is a home that is just ready for more people,’ she said, but added that the ‘neighborhood has just been a dream to live here, and I feel very sad to leave.’

‘Will miss it so much and loved our 3 years here,’ Schumer wrote on Instagram.
