19-year-old accused of home invasion, aggravated battery in Danville

A teenager was taken into custody on Thursday in relation to a home invasion and aggravated battery that took place in Danville earlier in the week.

According to Danville Police, officers were dispatched at 11:28 p.m. on Monday to the vicinity of Park and Commercial Streets due to a reported home invasion. The officers arriving at the scene found an injured individual who was then taken to a nearby hospital for medical care.

Officers identified the suspect as 19-year-old Landyn Reardon of Danville. He was located on Thursday and arrested.

Reardon was booked into the Vermilion County Jail on preliminary charges of:

  • Home invasion
  • Aggravated battery with great bodily harm
  • Aggravated battery deadly weapon (other than a firearm)

The investigation into this matter is ongoing and no other information regarding this incident will be released at this time.
