A BRIT tourist has tragically died after falling from an ancient Roman aqueduct.
A 63-year-old tourist tumbled off the Segovia aqueduct in Spain after spending time on the iconic structure’s lookout area.

Law enforcement officers quickly arrived at the location on Saturday afternoon, amid early reports indicating that the man had been perched on the observation deck’s ledge prior to his backward fall.
The tragic man was seen by local police and medical teams but was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.
Segovia City Council said police responded to the call for help at around 1:05pm after a person fell from the top of the Postigo.
The Brit holidaymaker reportedly travelled to Segovia last Thursday, along with two other people.
Multiple calls were received by local police at around 1:05pm asking for assistance beneath the popular tourist attraction.
Panicked onlookers told cops that a man plunged from a viewing deck on the popular Segovia aqueduct.
The platform is located on the stairs leading to Obispo Gandásegui Street.
At the scene, emergency services attempted to revive the person who fell, but ultimately failed.
The historic city of Segovia is located northwest of Madrid, in Spain‘s Castile and León region.
It is known for its famous buildings including Segovia aqueduct, which is one of its main attractions.
The well-preserved Roman structure is 28.5 metres tall at its tallest point.
It was originally built in the first century AD to channel water from springs in the mountains miles away to the city.
It operated all the way until 1973.
Last year, a daredevil Brit died after falling near 50 metres down from a bridge in a foiled social media stunt.
He plunged from the bridge Puente de Castilla-La Mancha in Spain – one of the country’s tallest.
