A tragic accident in Sydney’s western suburbs has resulted in the death of a man and the hospitalization of five others, including two young children. The incident unfolded when an SUV veered off the road and collided with a tree just after 5 p.m. yesterday.
The crash took place on Stuart Road in Dharruk, approximately 45 kilometers from Sydney’s central business district. Emergency services swiftly responded to the scene, where they discovered a man who had been partially ejected from the vehicle. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on-site. He is believed to have been a passenger in the ill-fated SUV.
The collision also resulted in injuries to five others — two men, a woman, and two toddlers — all of whom were transported to the hospital for treatment. The severity of the injuries sustained by these individuals has not been disclosed.
Emergency services were called to the scene, where a man was found to have been partially ejected from the vehicle.
He is believed to have been a passenger in the SUV and died at the scene.
Five other people were injured; two men, a woman, and two toddlers.
They were taken to Westmead Hospital and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead for treatment.
The adults are reportedly in a serious but stable condition.
The children are stable.
Police have established a crime scene and Crash Investigation Unit (CIU) are investigating the incident.
