This week in Los Angeles, one of the iconic actresses from a beloved 1990s sitcom was seen braving the city’s blustery weather. The actress was in the company of her English husband, who not only made memorable appearances on her show but also left his mark in the series “24” and even starred alongside Clint Eastwood in a film.

After concluding her role in the sitcom that catapulted her to global fame, the now 67-year-old actress didn’t slow down. She went on to star in another successful sitcom that entertained audiences from 2009 until 2018.

Beyond her acting achievements, she has made a name for herself as a vocal political activist, standing out as one of the few conservative voices in Hollywood. Her outspokenness in this regard has been noted over the years.

During her recent Los Angeles outing, the actress was seen in a laid-back ensemble, pairing a pale grey sweatshirt with relaxed Adidas sweatpants, embodying casual comfort.

Can you identify this celebrated actress and her husband?

Can you guess who she and her husband are?

She is none other than Patricia Heaton, beloved by TV fans as Debra Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond, and he is English actor David Hunt, who starred in the final Dirty Harry movie alongside Eastwood.

For her latest outing, Heaton opted for an outfit that flattered her still trim figure, which she has confessed to using a tummy tuck to help keep in shape.

Meanwhile Hunt, 72, matched her Adidas trousers by zipping himself into a full Adidas tracksuit as he caught a spot of exercise alongside his longtime wife.

They were glimpsed in Los Angeles just weeks after Heaton announced she and her husband were leaving the city and decamping to Nashville, Tennessee.

‘We just thought that the taxes are high. The crime is high. The homelessness is high, and we’re not working in LA as much as we’re working outside of LA,’ she told Dave Rubin on The Rubin Report. ‘So why don’t we leave?

She and Hunt tied the knot in 1990 – years before she catapulted to her status as a household name – and share four grown sons, Samuel, John, Joseph and Daniel.

Heaton won the hearts of viewers around America as the perpetually exasperated wife of the show’s lead character Ray Barone, played by Ray Romano.

With a cast that featured Doris Roberts, Peter Boyle and Brad Garrett as Ray’s parents and brother respectively, Everybody Loves Raymond emerged as a ratings triumph.

The program ran for nine seasons on CBS from 1996 to 2005, amid a golden age of sitcoms in the 1990s and 2000s including Friends, Seinfeld, Roseanne, Frasier, Home Improvement, Sex and the City, Will & Grace, The Nanny and The King of Queens.

Heaton won two Emmys for her role as Debra out of seven nominations, amid a shower of accolades such as a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Hunt also had a recurring role on Everybody Loves Raymond, playing one of the Barone family’s suburban neighbors Bill, whom Ray despises.

Four years after Everybody Loves Raymond aired its finale, Heaton landed role as another suburban mother on yet another successful sitcom, The Middle.

Heaton starred opposite Neil Flynn as the parents of a lower middle class family in small-town Indiana on a show that – like Everybody Loves Raymond – ran nine years.

One of the stars of the series, Pat Finn, died three days before this past Christmas aged 60 following a cancer battle, prompting a heartbroken tribute from Heaton.

‘One of the finest and funniest human beings I know has left to be with Jesus,’ wrote the devout Christian on social media. ‘He was adored by all who knew him, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and wonderful comedy.’

Heaton is also a vocal political advocate for causes including opposition to abortion and embryonic stem cell research, as well as support for Israel.

Hunt meanwhile had a prominent role in the 1988 Dirty Harry picture The Dead Pool, the fifth and last movie in the Clint Eastwood-starring franchise.

His television career has included his recurring role on Everybody Loves Raymond, as well as guest spots on such series as 24 – led by the recently arrested Kiefer Sutherland – Monk, Mad Men and Castle.

We need to allow them to discover what’s important to them, listen to what’s in their hearts and follow their spirit.’
