A few snow showers during the day could leave a coating to an inch in some spots, but the steadier snow will happen Friday night into Saturday as the nor’easter moves north toward New England.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Watch for New York City and much of the Tri-State area through Saturday evening. A winter storm warning has been issued for coastal New Jersey, including Ocean and Monmouth Counties.
The storm is impact the New York metropolitan area with snow, wind and coastal flooding.
The best chance for heavy snow will be east, along the coast and on Long Island. There will be a huge range with this storm from no snow north and west to more than a foot to the east.
