NEW YORK (WABC) — Temperatures took a dramatic tumble overnight before the first significant snow of the season began moving into the Tri-State area early Monday.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from late Sunday night through Monday afternoon for parts of southern New Jersey including Ocean County.

Winter weather advisories are in effect for counties in northern New Jersey and Long Island.

Sam has the latest on snow arriving in parts of the Tri-State.

Heavy snow is possible with accumulations of at least 4 to 6 inches and wind could gust as high as 35 mph.

Snowier south. High 33.

Not as harsh. High 36.

Milder shower. High 46.

Clouds and sun. High 40.

Rain to snow? High 38.

Brisk and chilly. High 34.

Rather cloudy. High 41.
