Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has sent his congratulations to Adegboyega Oyetola, who was recently determined to be the winner in the Osun governorship election that took place in July 2022.

This victory, in Tinubu’s view, represents the victory of light over darkness.

In a ruling issued on August 3, 2022, the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Osogbo nullified Governor Ademola Adeleke’s victory in the gubernatorial election held on July 16, 2022.

Tinubu issued a statement defending Oyetola’s victory, which was signed by his Media Aide, Tunde Rahman.

“I heartily rejoice with Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola on his much-deserved victory at the election tribunal today,” read part of the statement.

“It’s the victory of light over darkness, a triumph of perseverance, courage and justice over electoral fraud and democratic perversion. “
