Alabama Dad Charged With Killing Toddler Son – Crime Online

A 2-year-old Alabama boy is dead, and his father has been charged with killing him.

Police found Lauren Haggard Jr with fatal injuries at about 2:40 p.m. Tuesday. He was pronounced dead at 3 p.m. at Baptist Medical Center South, AL.com reported.

Court records say the boy received significant blunt force injuries sometime between Friday and Tuesday. Haggard Sr, the documents say, “intentionally killed the victim by physical assault,” according to WSFA.

Lauren Haggard Sr, 33, was charged with capital murder and booked into the Montgomery County Detention Facility. He’s being held without bail.

Police released no further information and asked anyone who had any information to call Central Alabama CrimeStoppers at (334) 215-STOP.
