Alison Brie and Dave Franco have been blasted by fans after they were spotted engaging in a ‘nasty’ public act at Griffith Park in Los Angeles.

The Community actress, 42, was seen cutting her husband’s, 40, toenails as they enjoyed an outdoor picnic date.

The Los Angeles native, starring alongside her husband in an upcoming horror film, was seen tossing Dave’s nails onto the grass as he was absorbed in his phone in a leaked ‘TMI’ video that emerged on social media on Tuesday.

‘Doing this for a man in public is wild,’ a caption on the video read. 

‘Yeah that’s nasty Alison,’ one fan wrote on X. 

‘I’m gonna throw up,’ someone else added.

Some people found the act revolting, while others speculated that it might simply be a promotional stunt for their upcoming horror film, Together, which features them as a codependent couple.

‘This is def promo for their movie and I am on board lol I love when movie promo gets a lil freaky,’ one fan wrote. 

‘This got to be for the new movie cuz why else would they be doing this in public?’ another questioned.

On Monday, Neon Films shared a photo of the pair kissing in front of a billboard for their film.

‘The perfect couple in “the perfect date night horror movie.” TOGETHER,’ the caption read. 

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about their latest fright flick in January, Brie explained, ‘Both of us have done intimate scenes with other actors, of course, but without giving too much away, a lot of this film requires close proximity from its two leads to a greater extent than anything I’ve done before.’

‘I think we pretty much finished every day of shooting and said to one another, “I don’t know how you could make this movie without a real-life couple because of some of the situations we found ourselves in.”‘

‘The movie explores codependency and it’s something that we don’t necessarily think is a good or bad thing; there are levels to it,’ Franco explained.

The couple were introduced by mutual friends at Mardi Gras in 2011 and they married in 2017.

‘Because we are married, and we work together constantly, I think we definitely could be defined as codependent. But we try to maintain a healthy relationship.’

‘Also, because of the fact that certain jobs take us away from each other for long periods of time, we are forced to also be more independent.’

The film is set to be released on July 30.

In 2023, Alison discussed what it was like having her husband direct her sex scenes with Jay Ellis in their movie Somebody I Used to Know.

‘I realize that it sounds wild, but we are actors, this is our job,’ she told Jezebel at the time. 

‘It’s actually not that weird. And with something like this, because it’s our baby that we made together, I think our first priority is always just the movie.’
